This is a song (as he calls it) that Adrian recited at our September 11 observance on our front porch (Friday, September 14, 2001) . We lit a candle and he asked if he could hold it. He picked it up, gazed down into the flame, and began to speak:It sounded like a prayer, and was said with a pure heart. When he finished, he looked up and asked, "That was my song--do you think they heard it?"
- We love our place
We love our planet
We love our country
We love our home
We love our family.
And I hope no more bad guys
will come and crash into buildings
Because buildings are good
You shouldn't break them down
Houses are for people
And there are neighbors we have never met.
Dad snapped this photo a few minutes later.
